Thai Massage is thought to date back around 2500 years and is still practised in Thailand today. This form of bodywork (often called “Thai Yoga Massage” in the west) is becoming increasingly popular all around the world, both as a way to de-stress and as a way to help maintain a healthy body. Thai Massage does not claim to diagnose or “cure” illness, but works with the whole person to facilitate health and well-being.
In Thai Yoga Massage we use many techniques including acupressure and applied “yoga-like” stretching as well as more familiar massage techniques. The massage takes place fully clothed on a futon mattress, without the use of oils.
